“Chop Breakfast” has slowly become the go-to term everyone uses to describe heartbreak. Heartbreak is not what we love to see but it happens, a lot. And to be fair, it has probably touched everybody. I just remembered the video of the young boy cursing out a few weeks ago. It is what it is.
It is with this in mind, that singer Maxee serves us a relatable tune: ‘National Cake.’
For a song with a not so happy message, he delivers his vocals over an upbeat tempo. ‘Break up na national cake, e go touch everybody, e don touch my guy, I dey wait for my turn o.’
Trust me, it’s a vibe.
Maxee is a rising act who has gotten some fame off TikTok. He has fed off that to some extent to help push his music career and with this song, best believe he is slowly gathering momentum.
Valentine is coming, would the national cake be served to some of them lovebirds? Only time would tell.
