Our spotlight talent for the week is VICTONY. From Imo state, With the Governemt name Anthony Victor. Victony was born on the 5th of January, 2001. It’s clear now that this gen-z acts like Victony, Ayra Starr, P-Priime to mention a few, are giving the OG’s a run for their money. These talents are shining bright and safe to say the future of Afrobeat is in safe hands.

Victony is arguably one of the hottest kids on the block. With catchy hooks, lit pen game, rap skills and amazing vocals.

Victony is a student at the renowned Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Studying petroleum engineering. Anthony Victor has made the studio his second home, as his love for music never seizes which helped in perfecting his craft.

As we all know, 2020 was a bit traumatized for some. But it was also a blessed year for a lot. He was discovered by Tobi Mohammed, popularly known as “Alhaji Popping”; who put him on and landed him to Mainland Blockparty & Jungle Records. This deal paved way for mainstream success and the release of his debut project, “Saturn”. The EP consist of 6 tracks and a feature appearance from Falz. 2021, he went on to put out a new single “Broken” which was quite a success.

On April 21, 2021, sad news hit all over the internet that Victony was involved in a ghastly accident. He had to be rushed to the hospital and was placed under the ICU. Prayers went up all over social media with fans, family, friends and colleagues praying and wishing Victony a speedy recovery.

He ended up having a successful operation, with Davido also helping out with fund raising. After the surgery, he laid low and healed. Couple months later, pictures surface the internet with Victony in the studio sitting in a wheelchair and recording. Bruh I tell you, that boys love for music is crazy.

Despite the whole phase, ebelebe kept on making music and owned 2021. He made his return to the music space with a two track project titled “Dark Times” which had songs like pray and unfamiliar realms featuring Tredax. That wasn’t all from the wonder kid. He got featured on the song Rosemary, which was off Savage’s debut project. He also jumped on a double track project with Rexxie, which had songs like like Ego and Like Dat. The big break came when Victony landed that fire chorus on Mayorkun’s Holy Father, produced by Semzi. Holy father was like the closing anthem for 2021, and is still getting a lot of buzz now in 2022.

Holy father came through for Victony when he stood for the first time since the accident at Davido’s concert. The crowd went crazy and everyone was glad to see him get on his feet again. It’s a new year, and we’re very much sure he has got hits locked in and will be released soon!
