Suliya Modasola Abdulsalam, popularly know as yes LIYA or LIYA is a Nigerian singer and songwriter signed to Davido Music worldwide(DMW).

Born in 1999, in Lagos state. But an indigene of Osun state. LIYA is an alumni of the highly prestigious university of Ilorin, where she bagged a degree in linguistics.

LIYA got signed to the DMW imprint in 2020. Again, I’ll say the lockdown period was actually a blessing for some. After peruzzi had played couple of her songs for the DMW boss and he got blown away by her talent and immediately set up a meeting which led to her penning her signature as the first female act under the label.

LIYA debuted into the music scene with “MELO” which was an amazing stepping stone for her. She further went ahead to bless our ears with her debut project “ALARI” which dropped the 19th of August, 2021.

The project “ALARI” which is a Yoruba word, means standout. We know LIYA to always standout with her craft and also being able to blend her native tongue with her music. The project contains 6 tracks, and a guest appearance from the baddest himself, Davido.

In few years, LIYA has gone on to be featured on the the Ejoya class of ‘21 project and recently got featured on 420 by Mida the Jagaban.

Her most recent release is the remix to one of the songs “ADUA” off her EP which featured AG Baby’s baby, Simi. You definitely know that’s going to be a battle of vocals.
