Though he currently resides outside the country. He was born and raised in Nigerian till he was about 9, then he migrated to Bowie, Maryland. He is a multi instrumentalist who combines melody, raps, syncopation, structured chord progressions and hip hop beats. His sounds take influence from soul, rap and pop and his native west African root. His genre of forte is R&B and soul.

In 2014, he got signed with House studios, which gave ground for his debut EP, wellz. Followed by another Ep 4 year after(2018), SoulFro, a 7 track project. 2019, a three track project was also released “META” around the time he got featured by fellow Nigerian, wale, on the single “love and loyalty”.
.
In 2020, MANNYWELLZ dished out another project named “Mirage” which featured the likes of tems, wale & vanJess. Wellz, on gone on to work with the likes of Juls, Zamir, dndSection, Olayinka Ehi, Dave James,Owo to list a few.

Have to say, MANNYWELLZ was able to bring into the naij space with his 2022 record, “no closure” which is garning lots of airplay time and accompanied with a sleek video. Few days back, he released a two track project, “di do & no closure”.
