It’s Declan Rice Season and We’re Here For It

Odumodublvck is that guy, and I’m not saying this because I’m a fan. Remember how he dropped the snippet for Picanto three months before its release and that song still went mainstream proper and hit over three million streams on all digital streaming platforms 3 weeks after its release? I don’t even want to talk about the wait time for Dog Eat Dog but he’s about to do it again with Declan Rice.

Very crazy marketing strategy to be fair and when I asked him why he went that way with Picanto, here’s what he said:

“I came into the industry to come and scatter everything they said was working before. I read in a book that if you want to promote a song, you start 8 weeks before. I multiplied mine by two. Everybody will wait. If I dropped it when everyone wanted me to, I wouldn’t have gotten an advance, I would not have gotten Zlatan on too. Everything has to be done at your own time.”

Well, once again we’ve waited and once again, his snippet has gone viral. When I mean viral, I mean a crowd singing an unreleased song word for word. It doesn’t get bigger than that. A quick search for “Ekelebe stunner” on twitter and you’ll understand what I mean.

Declan Rice for those who didn’t know, is a Premier League Footballer who plays for West Ham and England. Why would he name his song after a footballer you might ask? Here’s why

A closer look at the making of Declan Rice only increases the excitement for it. Trill Xoe producing, then Amaarae, BNXN, Fireboy and Declan Rice giving their seal of approval. Come on, man.

Enough said, it’s Declan Rice SZN and I’m here for it.
