Upper Spotlight: Tweehz

Hey upper fam! What’s happening. Welcome to another spotlight segment.  Firstly, have to give a big shoutout to you guys for always coming thru and raging with us at the upper riddim. 


This week, we place focus on a singer and songwriter from Eastern Nigeria; but raised in Surulere and Egbeda. 


Meet Chukwudi Udoka, professionally known as Tweehz. Tweehz is an afrobeats artiste who is currently based in New York.  








His career started as a rapper on the streets of Egbeda; where he got involved in several rap battles and freestyle contests. He later got a grip of FL studio, which would later see his transition into music production, penning down amazing lyrics for other artistes, and eventually singing. 


Asides afrobeats being his niche, he tries to infuse elements of other genres like hip hop and jazz into his craft. With strong influences from Fela, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Michael Jackson and The weekend. 



His ability to churn out ear worm melodies choruses earned him the nickname “chorus machine” He is set to release new music, “Rastafarian” this Friday. Do well to check out his artiste page on various streaming platforms and await greatness.
