Boy Ocean Enlists Alpha P’s Help On Debut ‘If’

Boy Ocean is just getting started and set to crush the lane with his laid-back flow and style which fuses trap, rock, and afro-pop, forming him in a class of his own.

In 2021, a feature on a song titled ‘Sade’ by an artiste called Governor of Africa set things rolling for Ocean, shining the spotlight on his inexplicable passion for singing and songwriting.

The Benin-born singer has since refused to let the wave die down and has used it as motivation to continue scheming and cooking up prospective hits. Having garnered social media support from posting freestyles and covers, newcomer Boy Ocean has steadily built a loyal fan base ready and expectant to see and hear more of what
he has to offer.

From a Southern gentleman to a thugging boy with a dream, Boy Ocean finally shares his first official single ‘IF’, which features one of Nigeria’s rising acts Alpha P. This tune is heavily influenced by South Africa’s Amapiano and complemented by the unique dash of zeal and energy each artist bring.

The Smyley-produced track sees both artists seek to sweet talk their muse while coaxing you the listener to dance and move your body.
Fans and Music listeners alike should expect bangers from Boy Ocean this summer as the talented singer aims to be on everyone’s radar this summer.
