It also explains why Spotify wrapped or Apple replay says you played a particular song for an insane amount of time, why you consistently pressed the rewind button on a record, or why you care to have a top five or top ten album of the year, we simply just can’t get enough of the feeling.

The maniac rush that we feel as consumers of the art is what makes it okay to be rightly entitled to give reviews and feedbacks about music that we deem outstanding or noteworthy. It’s why this article is even written in the first place.
